Endowment Fund
Annual giving alone cannot provide sufficient resources for the Richard Eaton Singers to meet the challenges of ongoing operation and concert production. Current contributions are expended directly, usually within a year after they are given. Endowment contributions provide permanent support for RES. The choir has established The Richard Eaton Singers Endowment Fund with the Edmonton Community Foundation. This is an open-ended fund to which donors may contribute now, over time, or in their wills. Gifts of any amount are most welcome and are invested in the pool of funds gathered by the foundation. Only the income generated is spent. Any difference between the amount of the distribution and the amount earned is reinvested, in order to help the endowment keep pace with inflation. Income from the endowment will enable RES to strengthen the choir artistically and to build future audiences.
